This is our living room. We use it just like you use your living room at home. We hang out, play games, visit with family members and watch movies in here. Residents also participate in groups here.

We eat all of our meals together in our dining room. We also sometimes play games, hear special speakers and make crafts in here. We have enough seating for our staff members and residents to eat together.

Just like at home, our kitchen is used to prepare meals. Each woman takes turns being in charge of the kitchen, which means she makes meals and keeps the room clean with the help of a staff member.

Although there are two beds in most rooms, each woman has a room to herself. Bedrooms are equipped with two small dressers, desk & chair, closet and lamps. Women don’t need to bring their own bedding, but they may want to bring their own pillow. Also, ladies are able to decorate their bedrooms with photos, sayings and other items that can be displayed on their bulletin board and walls. There are a total of seven bedrooms in our home, which is the maximum number of women we can have at one time.

Now that you’ve seen a good portion of the inside of our home, this is the outside. This building was originally a nursing home, but 100s of volunteers and churches helped completely transform it into a beautiful home. We are only a few blocks away from our church, and also within walking distance of the library.
