AFH Benefits from Tonner Doll Company Charity Auction

AFH Benefits from Tonner Doll Company Charity Auction

A Friend's House received more than $11,000 in donations at the Tonner Doll charity auction. Tonner Doll Company hosted its annual convention in Lombard, IL last weekend, and invited three representatives from AFH to attend. This year the convention theme was "The Sun, The Moon & The Stars," and decorations, costumes and dolls displayed that theme throughout the weekend.

Tonner Doll planned to auction off seven one-of-a-kind dolls at the Sunday morning brunch. However, at the last minute Tamara Casey, doll collector, donated her award-winning creation titled "Man on the Moon" to be included in the auction. The Tonner Doll one-of-a-kinds each featured hand-painted faces and exquisite detailing in their clothing and accessories.

"We are so grateful for the generosity of the Tonner Doll Company, and its many collectors," said Pam Durdahl, executive director. "Robert Tonner’s creativity and talent is surpassed only by his benevolence."
