A Friend's House community

Residents are not only warmly welcomed by the staff at A Friend's House when they come, but also by the whole Bluffton community.

The training and care that women receive at AFH does not come from staff members alone. Members of our local community teach our residents various life skills, invite them to attend activities and even welcome them into their homes for special events.

Also, we believe it’s important for everyone to learn to be responsible citizens and contribute to their community. The ladies who live at AFH volunteer regularly at local events. They also spend time with residents at a local nursing home, and baby-sit children monthly to allow mothers to have a free morning.

Bluffton is a friendly, small community, and a great environment for women to learn and apply new habits. When the weather is nice we enjoy the River Greenway along the Wabash River, and also take trips to Ouabache State Park to see the bison, hike and enjoy nature.
