Young women face problems that sometimes overwhelm them. They look for a solution, but often find only confusion and discouragement. They crave the chance at a fresh start, but don’t know where to begin. At A Friend’s House, these women find the opportunity for healing, instruction, and guidance to make healthy choices. Our focus on God’s healing and restoration creates a refuge for girls who struggle with substance or sexual abuse, unplanned pregnancies, and other issues.
After a potential resident submits an application and completes an extensive interview, AFH may extend an invitation for a free and safe place where she will receive Biblical training to become healthy spiritually, physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Our staff is constantly available to the residents, equipped with education and experience. The staff pursues one-on-one daily interaction in order to build trusting and lasting relationships. Each resident at A Friend’s House sets goals and works with our staff to accomplish these goals. The ultimate goal is to re-enter the community, ready to live a productive life. |
