Families

Family members and friends are often involved in the process of finding a program for their loved one, and supporting her as she strives to make changes. You may have questions about the program, your involvement and how your loved one can begin the process. These are loved ones most commonly asked questions.

Why does the application process take an average of 30 days?

The in-take process requires several phone interviews with the potential resident, and people who know her well. This includes counselors, family members, and physicians. Often it takes time to get the releases of information signed, and appointments made to talk to everyone. It is critical that we hear from a variety of people to learn about the potential resident, and to make sure she is a good fit for our program.

We also require that the potential resident follow-up with us at set times, and complete other assignments. This helps us determine if she is really ready to work.
